Case Study: Donald Trump

In May 2024, months before the general election, I accurately predicted Donald Trump's return to the presidency. While political pundits and polling experts debated the likely outcome, the celestial patterns in Trump's natal chart told a compelling story of electoral triumph and renewed political ascendancy.

This analysis examines the key astrological indicators that pointed to Trump's victory over Kamala Harris, including significant planetary periods, and timing techniques that aligned with his presidential campaign. By studying the interplay between Trump's birth chart and the major astrological events of 2024, we can understand not only how this prediction was possible but also what the stars suggest for his upcoming presidential term.

The accuracy of this May 2024 forecast demonstrates the power of traditional astrological methods when applied with precision and depth. Moving forward, this same analytical framework reveals fascinating insights about the challenges and opportunities that await Trump's presidency, offering a unique perspective on the political landscape through the lens of cosmic timing.

In the following analysis, I'll walk you through the specific astrological factors that made Trump's victory visible months in advance, and share what his chart suggests about the path ahead for him.

1. Lagna Bhāva

The Lagna Rāśi is Siṃha. The Lagna falls in Candra Horā, Guru's Drekkana, Budha's Navāṃśa, Guru's Dvādaśāṃśa and again Budha's Trimśāṃśa. Candra too falls in benefic divisions which has saved the native even though the birth was during the eclipse time.

Notes: It should be noted that these subdivisions are not independent charts as promoted by modern (ignorant) astrologers.

[Śri Varāhamihira has explained in Bṛhat Jātaka that the body of the native is akin to the Lagna Navāṃśa Lord and the skin colour resembles the Candra Navāṃśa Lord.]

The results for Budha as Lagna Navāṃśa Lord are —
- dark complexion
- even body & broad chest
- swift & fickle minded
- skilled in trade
- quick witted
- happy & joyful

Notes: For more details read 'Bṛhat Jātaka: The Navāṃśa'. Click here to access the article.

The native individual is cheerful, humorous, intelligent, and astute. He possesses a skill for wordplay and often employs words that carry dual meanings. Lagneśa Sūrya is in the 10th. Bhrigu Rṣi states following results —

[One whose Lagna Lord is in the 10th, is of good character, learned, respected by people, esteemed by the king, wealthy, famous, and a worshiper of his teacher (guru).]

Kuja occupies the Lagna. None of the planets cast their aspect on the Lagna Bhāva. Tanukāraka Sūrya is favourably placed. Overall, the Lagna is fairly strengthened as it is occupied by Yogakāraka Kuja and its Lord Sūrya is Digbali in the 10th aspected by Bṛhaspati — a śubha graha.

2. Analysis Of 10th Bhāva

[If the Lagna Lord is in the 10th, the native will be the head of a kingdom. He will be virtuous and have divine qualities.]

The 10th
Bhāva holds significant importance in Rāja Yoga. It would not be inaccurate to assert that the 10th serves as the second ascendant. Referred to as 'Kha', it symbolizes the sky. In order to attain elevated positions in life, the 10th Bhāva must possess strength. Those who are successful in their life have at least one Graha in the 10th Bhāva. Sūrya as the Lagna Lord in the 10th has strengthened the Lagna Bhāva. Presence of Yasha Kāraka Rahu ensures success and recognition. The aspect of Bṛhaspati expands the auspicious effects. The 10th Lord is Vargottama in the Navāṃśa of Candra — a royal Graha. Candra is aspected by Sūrya and Kuja which confirms kingly status.

3. Rāja Yoga Considerations

3.1. Gandānta Birth

[One born during the Nakṣatra Gandānta causes troubles to his mother and destroys his own lineage. If he stays alive till adulthood, he becomes a king owning many elephants and horses.]

Individuals born during eclipses often encounter numerous challenges in their early years; however, they tend to develop significant strength and power as they progress into later stages of life.

3.2. Naveśa Yoga

[When the Lagna Lord is fortified, free from the influence of malefics, situated in a Kendra, and receives the aspect of benefics, it mitigates all adverse influences present in the horoscope. Consequently, the individual experiences good fortune and enjoys a prolonged life as a result of the establishment of Naveśa Yoga.]

3.3. Nīca Bhanga Yoga

[If lord of the sign and the lord of exaltation sign of the debilitated planet are in Kendra to Candra, the native will be a righteous king.]

4. Dhana Yoga Considerations

4.1. Dhana Yogas

[Kuja in a Kendra (1,4,7,10) with reference to Candra will cause Mangala Yoga. The native of this Yoga will enjoy everlasting wealth and everlasting auspiciousness.]

For Siṃha Lagna, when Budha is adequately strengthened, it serves as an outstanding source of wealth, as it governs both the 2nd and 11th. Budha resides in its own sign in the 11th, positioned in Kumbha Navāṃśa and a benefic ṣaṣṭhyaṃśa. Budha is devoid of any negative associations. Additionally, Śukra positioned in the 12th from Kuja is also regarded as a favorable placement.

4.2. Does KBN Fails?

KBN - Kārako Bhāva Nāsaya

Dhanakāraka Bṛhaspati occupies the 2nd Bhāva in Kendra relative to its Lord Budha. Bṛhaspati receives aspects from Śani and Rāhu. Nevertheless, as Bṛhaspati is the benefic Lord of the 5th, the wealth significations will remain unharmed. On the other hand, family life is not favorable. It is inherent in Bṛhaspati's nature to adversely affect at least one signification.

5. Analysis Of Daśā Gocara

Vimśottari Daśā

Bṛhaspati is recognized as the 5th Lord, a Trikoṇa, and experiences a flaw due to its dominion over the 8th. Bṛhaspati is influenced by the functional malefic Śani, who is also classified as a Māraka. Furthermore, Bṛhaspati occupies a Māraka Sthāna. This situation is unfavorable and suggests potential physical ailments and health complications. The Bhukti Lord, Śukra, is deemed malefic as it governs the 3rd and suffers from Kendrādhipati Doṣa. Additionally, it is linked with Śani, a Māraka. The Antardaśā of Śukra is likely to escalate conflicts, difficulties, and legal issues. There are also indications of challenges or opposition from women and the lower socioeconomic classes.

The Pratyantardaśā of Māraka Śani is set to commence in October 2025 and will persist until March 2026. The Pratyantardaśā of Budha will initiate in March 2026 and conclude by September 2026. Budha is recognized as the most malefic 11th Lord. In June 2026, Śani will transit over the 64th Navāṃśa, which may exacerbate his difficulties. This period is anticipated to be particularly challenging in his life. Should he endure the aforementioned malefic phases, the Antaradaśā of Sūrya promises numerous rewards and global recognition, during which he is expected to achieve success in every aspect.

6. The Scribe's Prediction

The scribe, with the blessings of his Gurus of his Gurus, Kuladevi and Ishta, has successfully foretold Trump's victory, Trump and Elon's fight as a drama and the US's military action against Iran. His predictions, documented on X, are being showcased and compiled here —

12 May 2024: Based on Jyotish calculations, alignment of stars is in favour of Donald Trump.

Explanations — The Daśā was Guru - Śukra. Śukra being the 10th Lord is the Rāśi dispositor of Sūrya and Rāhu. Moreover, Śukra is the Vilagneśa. Vilagna refers to the Lord of Lagna Nakṣatra. It is observed that the Daśā of Lagna Nakṣatra Lord gives fame and position. This itself sufficient to tell that Śukra daśā will give professional success. In Gocara, Bṛhaspati was activating the 10th Bhāva and was also in trines to the navāṃśa position of Sūrya and Rāhu.

01 June 2025: June 2026 may not be very favourable for DT.

08 July 2025: If DT endures the adverse periods until 2026, which I believe he will, there is no possibility of him being defeated by anyone.

How about he receiving a prize? Yeah, that sounds cool! 😎

Notes: All forecasts can be made using Rāśi and Navāṃśa. Pursuing various hypothetical & imaginary divisional charts and distinct systems will not produce accurate results. Rather, it fosters a state of uncertainty that is unacceptable for an astrologer.

Guru-Candāla Yoga

Guru Chandala Yoga is one of the more controversial and widely discussed yogas in Jyotiṣa. For a long period of time it has been used as a tool for fear-mongering to generate good amount of income after creating hypothetical stories of past life and what not! To me this appears to be a marketing gimmick and nothing less than a corrupt practice which maligns the science of Jyotiṣa. In this article, certain aspects of this combination have been discussed with classical references and examples. Image Source: Pinterest Classical Dictums The Candrakalā Nāḍī declares — गुरुचण्डालयोगोऽपि पापकृत्यरतः प्रदः। [Even when the Guru–Caṇḍāla Yoga occurs, the native becomes inclined toward sinful or impure actions.] This dictum refers to the conjunction of Bṛhaspati with Rāhu, a combination known in Jyotiṣa as Guru-Caṇḍāla Yoga. The symbolism behind this union is deeply instructive. Bṛhaspati is the preceptor of the Devas, a Brāhmaṇa by nature, and the embodiment of sattva-guṇa. Whereas, Rāhu symboliz...

Phaladīpikā: Saraswati Yoga

The Saraswati Yoga is regarded as one of the most significant Yogas present in the horoscopes of poets, authors, writers, Nobel laureates, philosophers, and intellectuals. Its esoteric meaning extends far beyond the mere display of artistic talent or intellectual capability. Devi Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge and arts, symbolizes the transmission of divine wisdom from the cosmic consciousness into individual awareness. The presence of this yoga indicates that the soul has attained the privilege to convey higher knowledge through creative expression. The scribe has observed this Yoga functioning reliably, despite arguments suggesting its occurrence in numerous horoscopes. The essential points are elaborated in the subsequent article, accompanied by quotations from classical texts. 1. Bṛhat Jātaka: The First Shloka

Brihat Jātaka, composed by Acharya Varahamihira, is regarded as an exceptionally intricate text. It can be aptly likened to the phrase 'घागर में सागर,' symbolizing the vastness of the ocean contained within a single vessel. For centuries, this work has been imparted within the esteemed traditions of Kerala, accompanied by the commentaries of scholars such as Bhattotpala, Govinda Bhattattiri, Rudra, and Kannassa Panicker. Additionally, the text contains numerous concealed insights on Prashna, which have been examined in the Prashna Margam. The author of Prashna Margam holds Brihat Jataka and Dasadhyayi in high regard, stating the following : (Translations by Dr. B. V. Raman) [Brihat Jataka by Varahamihira, though short, is a very suggestive treatise pregnant with ideas. Though difficult to be comprehended by even intelligent persons, yet with the aid of the commentaries of...

Jyotiṣavimarśa: Divisional Charts - A Misnomer

The topics of Vargas and Nakshatras are among the most frequently misunderstood subjects in Jyotish, largely due to contemporary authors who neglect to engage with classical texts. In the present context, Vargas are often regarded as separate charts, wherein factors such as houses, aspects, Arudha, and Nakshatras are taken into account. While this approach may appear valid, it contradicts the foundational principles of the Arsha Jyotish system. There are mathematical justifications for this, a consideration that many astrologers overlook. A recent post of mine on X (formerly Twitter) provoked a response from several astrologers, who subsequently published articles containing factual inaccuracies, mistranslated verses, and other misleading information in an attempt to discredit my views. It is a well-known fact that the astrological community harbors numerous insecure and envious individuals who seek to undermine others simply because their opinions do not align with their personal rese...

Jyotiṣārṇava: The Jyotisha Of Professions

In today's world, there exists a vast array of opportunities for education, careers, and various professions. Unlike in ancient times, it is no longer a given that the son of a king will inherit the throne. As opportunities expand, many individuals are choosing to pursue their careers abroad. Accurately interpreting this information from a horoscope can be a complex endeavor. Nevertheless, by employing a few established and effective techniques, this task becomes significantly more manageable. In this article, I present a method that has been in use for over 4,000 years, which I refer to as 'Mihira's Master Method,' along with several other straightforward principles. It is important to note that numerous example horoscopes are included in this discussion. I trust that the process of predicting professions will no more cause distress for the students of Jyotisha.  I reviewed numerous articles and books which are written on professions. In one particular book, the method...

Vivāha Jyotisa: Kalatra Viveka

Kalatra Sthāna, or the 7th Bhāva, represents vivāha (marriage), which is one of the sixteen sanskāras within Sanātan Dharma. While the 7th bhāva encompasses various significations, our primary focus today is to explore the concept of marriage.  I have previously received feedback indicating that the Horā Muktāvali commentary on Brihat Jātaka became easy to comprehend through the Guru-Shishya Samvada. Therefore, this article is structured as a dialogue between a Guru and his students. It features an interactive discussion led by a scholar from the esteemed Kerala tradition, accompanied by his knowledgeable students: Uma, Madhusudan, Shridhar, Medha, Keshav, and Aniruddha. Following an enlightening conversation on Brihat Jātaka, the students have convened around their Guru to delve into the subject of Vivāha, or marriage.  I have endeavored to present this work in a format akin to that of the Nadi Granthas, wherein the student poses inquiries and the Guru provides responses. In ...
