कोमळ वाचा दे रे राम।

विमळ करणी दे रे राम ॥

Oh Rāma, give me a gentle speech.

Oh Rāma, give me (the ability to perform) virtuous deeds.

प्रसंग ओळखी दे रे राम।

धूर्तकळा मज दे रे राम ॥

Oh Rāma, give me the ability to understand a situation (and take correct decisions).

Oh Rāma, give me shrewdness (the potential to judge & behave accordingly).

हितकारक दे रे राम।

जनसुखकारक दे रे राम ॥

Oh Rāma, give me the ability to perform the actions which are helpful (for the nation).

Oh Rāma, give me that through which people (of the nation/society) shall (benefit) be happy.

Guru-Candāla Yoga

Guru Chandala Yoga is one of the more controversial and widely discussed yogas in Jyotiṣa. For a long period of time it has been used as a tool for fear-mongering to generate good amount of income after creating hypothetical stories of past life and what not! To me this appears to be a marketing gimmick and nothing less than a corrupt practice which maligns the science of Jyotiṣa. For centuries, this work has been imparted within the esteemed traditions of Kerala, accompanied by the commentaries of scholars such as Bhattotpala, Govinda Bhattattiri, Rudra, and Kannassa Panicker.
