विवाह के कुछ सूत्र:
यदि सप्तमेश एवं कलत्रकारक शुक्र द्विस्वभाव राशि में स्थित हो तथा सप्तम एवं द्वितीय भाव पर पापग्रह का प्रभाव होवे तो ऐसे जातक का विवाह दो बार होता है। अशुभ फल के शमन हेतु उचित पूजा विधी का अवलंबन करना चाहिए।
यदि पंचम भाव का संबंध सप्तम भाव से स्थापित हो, तो ऐसे जातक या जातिका के जीवन में प्रेम-विवाह की प्रबल संभावना होती है। यदि पंचमेश सप्तम भाव के नवांश में स्थित हो और सप्तमेश पंचम भाव के नवांश में स्थित हो, तो भी तत्सम फल प्राप्त होता है। चन्द्र और शुक्र का परस्पर संबंध भी प्रेम-विवाह का द्योतक माना गया है।
स्त्री की पत्रिका में अष्टम स्थान को विशेष महत्त्व दिया गया है। आचार्य पृथुयश के अनुसार यह मांगल्य स्थान हैं। अतः यदि अष्टम भाव में पापग्रह विराजमान हो तथा सप्तम भाव भी पाप ग्रहों से पीडित हो तो वैधव्य योग बनता है।
सप्तम भाव के स्वामी का वर्ण, अथवा राशि का, या फिर कारक का इनमें से जो सबसे अधिक बलवान हो, उसी के आधार पर जातक के पत्नी का वर्ण निर्धारित करना चाहिए।
विवाह के बाद भाग्य की वृद्धि होती है जब शुक्र उपचय भावों में स्थित हो। इसी प्रकार यदि कुटुम्बेश (द्वितीय भाव का स्वामी) भी ऐसे भावों में स्थित हो, अथवा लग्नेश पर शुभ ग्रहों की दृष्टि हो, तो भी भाग्य की वृद्धि होती है।
यदि लग्नेश और दशमेश परस्पर शत्रुत्व रखते हों, तो ऐसे जातक अथवा जातिका के अपनी श्वश्रू (सास) के साथ संबंध सामान्यतः सौहार्दपूर्ण नहीं होते और प्रायः मतभेद बने रहते हैं। यदि लग्नेश और तृतीयेश शत्रुत्व रखते हो तो श्वशुर के साथ मतभेद रहते है।
शुक्र काम का कारक माना गया है। जातक तत्त्व आदि ग्रन्थों के अनुसार यदि शुक्र स्वराशि में स्थित हो, सप्तम भाव में हो, मिथुन राशि में स्थित हो अथवा मंगल के साथ सप्तम या दशम भाव में युक्त हो, तो जातक कामुक स्वभाव वाला होता है। यदि पाप ग्रहों का संबंध होवे, तो यह काम की भावना वासना एवं व्यभिचार का रूप धारण कर लेती है। ध्यान रहे की सप्तम भाव तथा सप्तमेश का सूक्ष्म अध्ययन भी अपेक्षित है।

विवाह-मेलन के कुछ सामान्य संकेत:
1. वधू तथा वर के लग्न नवांश के स्वामियों के मध्य पारस्परिक मैत्रीभाव होना चाहिए।
2. यदि वर का चन्द्र नवांश, वधू के नवांश से अष्टाशीतितम (८८वाँ) अथवा अष्टोत्तरशतम (१०८वाँ) स्थान में स्थित हो, तो वह अशुभ माना जाता है।
3. वधू एवं वर, दोनों के लग्न, चन्द्र लग्न तथा लग्नेश परस्पर षडाष्टक (६/८) संबंध में नहीं होने चाहिए।
4. वधू की कुण्डली में अष्टम भाव का विशेष सावधानीपूर्वक परीक्षण आवश्यक है। साथ ही, वर तथा वधू दोनों के त्रिंशांश का भी सूक्ष्म अध्ययन करना चाहिए।
5. दोनों कुण्डलियों में पंचम भाव (संतान) तथा नवम भाव (भाग्य) को उचित महत्त्व देना चाहिए। साथ ही वर्तमान दशाओं का भी विचार करना अनिवार्य है।
6. विवाह के समय का मुहूर्त दोषरहित होना चाहिए तथा महर्षि पराशर द्वारा निर्दिष्ट नियमों के अनुसार उचित मुहूर्त लग्न का चयन करना चाहिए।

Some Principles On Marriage:
If the lord of the 7th house and the significator of spouse, Śukra, are placed in a dual sign, and if the 7th and 2nd houses are afflicted by malefic planets, then the native is likely to marry twice. To mitigate such adverse results, one should undertake appropriate ritualistic remedies.
If the 5th house establishes a connection with the 7th house, there is a strong possibility of a love marriage in the life of the native. Similarly, if the lord of the 5th house is placed in the Navāṁśa of the 7th house, and the lord of the 7th house is placed in the Navāṁśa of the 5th house, similar results are obtained. A mutual relationship between Candra and Śukra is also considered indicative of love marriage.
In a female horoscope, the 8th house is given special importance. According to Ācārya Pṛthuyaśa, it is the seat of marital auspiciousness. Therefore, if malefic planets occupy the 8th house and the seventh house is also afflicted by malefics, a combination indicating widowhood is formed.
The complexion or nature of the spouse should be determined based on whichever is strongest among the 7th lord, the sign occupied by it, or the significator.
Fortune tends to improve after marriage when Śukra is placed in the upachaya houses. Likewise, if the lord of the second house is placed in such houses, or if the ascendant lord is aspected by benefic planets, it also leads to an increase in fortune.
Some Basic Indications In Matchmaking:
1. The Lagna Navāṃśa lords of the bride and groom should share a friendly relationship with each other.
2. If the groom's Candra Navāṃśa falls in the 88th or 108th from that of the bride, it is inauspicious.
3. The Lagna, Candra Lagna, and Lagneśa of both the bride and groom should not be placed in a 6/8 (Ṣaḍaṣṭaka) relationship.
4. In the case of the bride, a thorough and careful analysis of the 8th house is essential. The Triṃśāṃśa should be studied for both the groom as well as the bride.
5. In both horoscopes, due importance should be given to the 5th house (santāna) and the 9th house (bhāgya). One must also look at the prevalent Daśās.
6. The Muhūrta at the time of marriage should be free from afflictions, and a proper Muhūrta Lagna must be selected in accordance with the rules laid down by Maharṣi Parāśara.
Please note that these are only general indications and were shared upon request. Numerous additional rules, scattered across various classical texts, must be taken into account while matching horoscopes.
