दशमभाव संबंधित कतिपय सूत्र:

1. विश्व के समस्त यशस्वी व्यक्तियों की कुण्डली में या तो दशम भाव में कोई ग्रह स्थित होता है अथवा दशमेश बलवान होता है।

2. दशम भाव आकाश का द्योतक माना गया है, अतः पदोन्नति, उन्नति तथा सफलता के लिए इसका विशेष महत्व है। यदि नवमेश, पंचमेश आदि शुभ ग्रह दशम भाव में स्थित हों, तो वे आर्थिक वृद्धि कराते हैं।

3. यदि दो राजपुत्रों की कुण्डलियाँ सामने हों और यह विचार करना हो कि कौन सिंहासन के योग्य है, तो निस्संदेह वही योग्य होगा जिसका दशम भाव और दशमेश बलवान हो। इससे दशम भाव का महत्व स्पष्ट होता है।

4. कुछ विद्वानों का मत है कि जिस कुण्डली में दशम भाव रिक्त हो, उसे देखना ही नहीं चाहिए। यद्यपि यह कथन विनोदार्थ है, तथापि इससे दशम भाव की महत्ता का ही प्रतिपादन होता है।

5. दशमेश यदि पंचमेश या नवमेश के साथ युक्त होकर दशम भाव में स्थित हो, तो समस्त कार्य सिद्ध होते हैं और ऐसा जातक राजपद प्राप्त करता है।

6. दशम भाव में स्थित एकादशेश धन के लिए सामान्यतः अनुकूल होता है, परंतु अपनी दशा में नौकरी का त्याग भी करवा सकता है। यदि एकादशेश सूर्य हो तो राजा के कारण, चन्द्र हो तो रानी के कारण, मंगल हो तो नेता के कारण, बुध हो तो मामा के कारण, गुरु हो तो मंत्री के कारण, शुक्र हो तो स्त्री के कारण और शनि हो तो कपटी व्यक्तियों के कारण धन की हानि होती है।

8. यदि दशम भाव में चर राशि हो अथवा दशमेश के अंश चर राशियों में हों, तो जातक धनार्जन हेतु विभिन्न स्थानों पर भ्रमण करता है। यदि दशमेश स्थिर राशियों में हो, तो जातक एक ही स्थान पर स्थिर रहकर कार्य करता है।

9. यदि दशमेश और सप्तमेश दोनों सप्तम भाव में स्थित हों, तो जातक विदेश यात्रा करता है और विदेश में ही धन अर्जित करता है। यदि सप्तम भाव में जल तत्त्व की राशि हो अथवा जल तत्त्व के ग्रह दशमेश को प्रभावित करें, तो जातक जलयान का कप्तान बन सकता है। अग्नि तत्त्व की राशि होने पर वह रेल अथवा बस चालक होता है, वायु तत्त्व की राशि होने पर वैमानिक बनता है और पृथ्वी तत्त्व की राशि होने पर वह वाहन या ऑटोमोबाइल क्षेत्र में कार्य करता है।

17. ‘भावात् भावम्’ के सिद्धांत के अनुसार, जो विषय दशम भाव से विचारणीय हैं, वे सप्तम भाव से भी विचारणीय हैं; अतः उक्त योगों का विचार सप्तम भाव से भी करना चाहिए।
